we are given

parent function is

f(x)=|x|

Vertically Compression:

Suppose, we have to compress a function y=f(x) , vertically by 'a' units

so, we will get new function after compression as

y=(1)/(a) f(x)

now, we are given to compress by 5 units

so, we will get our function as

g(x)=(1)/(5)f(x)

g(x)=(1)/(5)|x|...........Answer
