There are some differences between WWI and WWII
WW1:
- The start of the war was because of the assassination of the Archduke of Austrio-Hungary, Archduke Ferdinand and his wife by a Serbian.
- The war escalated with nations keeping their promises to come to each other's aid in war.
- Germany was not the aggressor. In fact, the government of Germany tried to stop the war between Austria-Hungary and Serbia.
- Technological advance in military was extremely great, with the invention of military bi- and tri- planes, tanks, and others, as well as the advancement in other technology, such as artillery, rifles, etc.
- Japan was part of the Allied Power, taking over German colonies in the Pacific, which later served as part of her empire.
- The War was fought in fronts, with the common ones known as "Western" and "Eastern" Fronts.
WWII:
- The war built up slowly, even starting as soon as Great Depression, which led to the creation of Fascist & Nazi Government.
- Because of either harsh conditions implemented, or not given what they wanted, Japan, Italy, and Germany allied together with other lesser powers to become what is now known as the Axis Power.
- The war was mostly mobile, with little-to-no battle fought with trenches.
- France was defeated, and was split into a group known as "Free French", which fought for French liberation, and "Vichy French", or the puppet government of France under German control.
- The first nuclear weapon was created, and was used in Alamogordo, New Mexico, as a test, and the next two used on Hiroshima Prefrecture, Honshu, Japan, and the other used on Nagasaki Prefrecture, Kyushu, Japan.
- The Allies implemented a less harsh treaty to the Axis sides, but punished war crimes extermely.
