The area (A) of a triangle is given by the formula

A=(1)/(2)bh

where b is the length of the base (48 m) and h is the altitude (32 m). Filling in the numbers, we compute the area to be

A=(1)/(2)\cdot (48\,m)\cdot (32\,m)=768\,m^2

The dog's play space is 768 square meters.
