Answer: There are 9 outcomes in this experiment.

Explanation:

Rock-Paper- Scissor is a simple game, in which Rock beats scissor, scissor beats paper, paper beats rock. If any two people made the same gesture it will be a tie.

So if two roommates are playing the game , total outcomes in the sample space = 3 x 3 [By fundamental principal of counting]

= 9

Hence, there are 9 outcomes in this experiment.
