The hypotenuse of a 45 degree -45 degree -90 degree triangle measures 22 square root of 2 units. What is the length of one leg of the triangle

The Pyhtagorean triple for a 45-45-90 is
(x,x,x√(2))

with the last measure being that of the hypotenuse since it is the longest. If the hypotenuse is given as


22√(2)

then in equality form we could rewrite as
22√(2)=x√(2). We would divide both sides by the square root of 2 and solve for x, the length of each leg of that triangle. Each leg measures 22.
