The answer would be D because u first take the circle formula which is pi r square then u take the diameter which is 12 so the radius would be 6, plug in 6 to the formula so put in the calculator first 6squared and you'll get 36, take the 36 and times it by 3.14 (which is pi) and you'll get 113.04 but that's the area of the whole circle so you divide by 8 and get the answer which is 14.1

The area of a circle is found using the formula A = PI x r^2


r is the radius, which is half the diameter.

r = 12 / 2 = 6


Area of full circle = 3.14 x 6^2 = 113.04 square units.


There are 8 equal sectors ( they are all 45 degrees), so divide the total area by 8.


113.04 / 8 = 14.13 square units, rounded to the nearest tenth = 14.1 square units.


The answer is D.
