Subtract 4x from the right side and add it to the left.

Now it is 7x + 8 =6

Subtract 8 from the left side and add it to the right.

7x = 14

Divide both sides by 7
7x/7 = 14/7

X = 2

Left side:

x+x+x+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1 = 3x + 8

Right side:

x+x+x+x++1+1+1+1+1+1

Left side = Right side to solve x

3x + 8 = 4x + 6

Subtract 4x from both sides

3x + 8 - 4x = 4x + 6 - 4x

Simplify

-x + 8 = 6

Subtract 8 from both sides

-x + 8 - 8 = 6 - 8

Simplify

-x = -2

Multiply both sides by (-1)

-x * (-1) = -2 * (-1)

Simplify

x = 2

Answer

C. x = 2
