Answer: X intercepts= ( 25 /2 , 0 )

Y intercepts = (0, -5)

Explanation:

To find the x-intercept, substitute in 0 for y and solve for x . To find the y-intercept, substitute in 0 for x and solve for y .

So to find Y you'll do 2(0)-5y=25

2x0=0........this will make the equation 0-5y=25....0-5y is -5y and 25/-5 is -5. You now know that Y=-5 and X is automattically 0 in these types of problems hence why we plugged in 0 for X to solve for Y.

To find X you'll do the same thing but you'll plug 0 in for Y

so the equation will become 2x-5(0)=25 and 5x0=0 so it will become 2x-0=25 then you'll have to divide to get rid of X. If it does not go in evenly then you leave it as a fraction. This is why you get (25/2, 0)
