Use the rule of 3:

9 - 2
x - 100

(9*100) / 2
900 / 2
450

9 = 2% of 450

Hope it helped,

Happy homework/ study/ exam!

To solve this problem, we can use the proportion:

(part)/(whole) = (percent)/(100)

Here, the part is 9, the percent is 2, and let's call the whole x. Now we can solve. This proportion becomes:

(9)/(x) = (2)/(100)

Now we can cross-multiply.

900 = 2x
x = 450

That means that 9 is 2% of 450.
