The mass rounded to the nearest tenth would be 256.7.
The numbers after the decimal point start at the tens and go up. (6=tens, 7=hundreds, 4=thousands.) The number after 6 is greater than 5, so 6 turns into 7 when rounded to the nearest tenth.
