The Kingdom of Israel split following the ascension of Solomon’s son, Rehoboam into the throne. The Kingdom split into the Kingdom of Israel in the north and the Kingdom of Judah in the south. After the death of King Solomon the northern Ten tribes split to form their own kingdom of Israel.
