Answer:

number of male dogs over the age of 5 are 432.

Explanation:

There are total dogs = 1000

72% are males = 72% × 1000

= 0.72 × 1000

Male dogs = 720

3 out of 5 male dogs are over the age of 5.

Dogs over the age of 5 =
(3)/(5) of total number of male dogs.

=
(3)/(5) × 720

= 432 dogs

Therefore, number of male dogs over the age of 5 are 432.
