Divide the numbers. Remember that when you divide variables, subtract the power signs.

(9x^5)/(3x^3) = 3x^2

5/(x -4) cannot be solved, because you will first have to find x - 4, before you can divide it with 5.

(24a^4b^2)/(-2a^3b^5)

24/-2 = -12
a^4/a^3 = a
b^2/b^5 = 1/b^3

Combine the terms:
-12a/b^3 is your answer

hope this helps
