Notice how both terms are perfect cubes. You can factor using the difference of cubes formula:


a^3-b^3=(a-b)(a^2+ab+b^2) \\ \\ x^3-1 = x^3- 1^3 = (x-1)(x^2+x+1)

The factored form of x³ - 1 is (x - 1)(x² + x + 1).

1² = 1
1³ = 1
1⁴ = 1
1¹⁰⁰⁰⁰⁰⁰ = 1
