Hi there!

Simplify th' Eqⁿ :-

4x² - 10 = 186

4x² = 186 + 10

4x² = 196

x² =
\frac {196}{4}

x² = 49

x = ±
\sqrt {49}

x = ± 7

Hence,
The required solⁿ of the eqn. are. 7 and -7

~ Hope it helps!

Hey there!

I suppose you mean the following.

4x^(2) -10=186, solve for x.

Let's start solving this equation step by step!
First add 10 to both sides of the equation.

4 {x}^(2) = 196

Now divide both sides of the equation by 4, in order to isolate the variable.

{x}^(2) = 49

And finally, to find our solutions we need to take the root of both sides. Don't forget to include the negative answer!

x = √(49) \: \: or \: \: x = - √(49)

Simplify the roots.

x = 7 \: \: or \: \: x = - 7

~ Hope this helps you!
