The answer is f(n) = 16(3/2)^(n-1)

24/16 = 3/2
36/24 = 3/2
54/36 = 3/2

r = 3/2

the first term in the sequence is 16, so that's what we use: a_1 = 16

a_n = a_1 (r) ^(n - 1)

a_n = 16(3/2) ^(n-1)
