The answer is that they "served as large markets for European industrial goods" or option A. The industrial revolution wad the time when people and there businesses made inventions that made them a lot of money for example the Cotton Gin, which made it easier to string out cotton and dry it out, and also interchangeable parts which was used to change a part of a weapon that is broken. European industrial goods gave them materials and ideas on their inventions. To conclude both inventions were made by Eli Whitney.
