I see that each new term is obtained from the previous one by subtracting 4. Thus, the "common difference" of this sequence is -4.

Here's the formula for this sequence: a(n) = -2 - 4(n-1),

Thus, the 7th term is a(7) = -2 - 4(7-1), OR -2 - 24, or -26 (ANSWER)
