Answer: C. The margin of error for a poll of 1,000 people is 3.2 percent and the margin of error for a poll of 200 people is 7.1 percent.

The margin of error will decrease with the higher number of data. That is why taking more respondent will give a more accurate data. The formula for margin of error should be 1/
√(n)
So, the margin of error for 1000 people would be: 1/
√(n)= 1/
√(1000)= 0.0316= 3.2 pecent
Margin of error for 200 people would be: 1/
√(n)= 1/
√(200)= 0.0707= 7.1 pecent
