Question

My guinea pig's nail broke/fell off on her front right paw and the last nail on the right, and was bleeding, she's lying down in her cage a lot with her legs stretched out but she is still eating okay. ( I know this isn't the best place to ask and i probably won't get an answer but hopefully i do) Is this really serious, like could she die I can't tell if she's in a lot of pain or not help what do i do????

Hey, it’s okay! I have experience in veterinary care. (I help my friends mom out sometimes). Your guinea pig will be just fine! She probably IS in a lot of pain. What I recommend is going to Walmart or something and getting some guinea pig numbing cream. It helps them a lot with pain. What you should do ASAP though, is wrap it (not too tight, not too loose) in a small gauze or bandage. Or if you don’t have them you can take a piece of paper towel and fold it over, and wrap it on her paw with a piece of tape. If you are really worried about her, you could take her to a true vet. But I really hope the poor thing gets better! ;)

well due to me having a Guinea pig three years ago. it happened to me before, I just tried to help it as much as I could but there's nothing really you can do except try wrapping it up in a really small sort of bandage type thing. hope she gets better though ☺️
