Let z represent the number of ounces of noodles needed for 16 servings. A proportion can be written desribing the relationship between ounces and servings.
10/11 = z/16
This equation can be solved for z by multiplying by 16.
16×10/11 = z = 14.5454... ≈ 15
15 ounces of noodles are needed for 16 servings.
