Subtract the right side and the equation becomes

(-3d)/(d^2-2d-8)+(3)/(d+4)+(2)/(d+2)=0\\\\(-3d+3(d+2)+2(d-4))/((d+2)(d-4))=0\\\\(2d-2)/((d+2)(d-4))=0\\\\2d=2\\\\d=1

The solution is d=1.
