What is one strength of the cross-sectional design? it provides evidence about individual trends. it is not plagued with dropout or practice effects. it permits longitudinal comparisons. it cannot be threatened by cohort effects?

I believe the answer is it is not plagued with dropout or practice effects

Cross-sectional design is taking data one time. Since there is no follow-ups, there shouldn't be any dropouts. The test is given one time so the respondent wont receive any practice effect. It cannot tell you about trends or longitudinal comparison either.
