9.25 I think. Multiply 5 by .3 and subtract that from 20. Divide what you get from the subtraction by 2

Hey there! :)

First, let's substitute x with 0.3, and multiply by 5

0.3 × 5 = 1.5

Here is your new equation:

1.5 + 2y = 20

Subtract 1.5 from 20

20 - 1.5 = 18.5

2y = 18.5

Divide both by 2

2y ÷ 2 = y
18.5 ÷ 2 = 9.25

y = 9.25

Hope this helps :)
