To find the area, you have to multiply p and q and divide by 2. Let's say the blue line with the 8 beside it is p and the red line with the 12 above it is the q. You multiply 8 by 12 to get 96. But we are not done! We need to divide 96/2, which is 48. So the area of the rhombus shown is 48 units squared! Hope this helped!
