To solve this, we are going to use the distance of a free fallen object:
d=0.5gt^2
where

d is the distance

g is the gravity of the Earth
32.17ft/s^2

t is the time in seconds

We know from our problem that Pete slid a domino off a bridge and it took 2.3 seconds to hit the Gully below, so
t=2.3. Lets replace that value in our formula to find
d:

d=0.5gt^2

d=0.5(32.17)(2.3)^2

d=85.1 feet

How can conclude that the domino fell a distance of 85.1 feet.
