The framers designated Supreme Court magistrates to life terms due to the faith that it would permit magistrates to work without influence from, and keep them free from asking permission of, citizens or officeholders. This will allow them to have an unbiased statute. This was additional admissible because framers like Alexander Hamilton considered the judiciary to be the least possible to misuse authority. This was originally due to the fact that the judiciary had no command of the army, just as the executive branch, nor the capacity to allocate state repositories, same as the legislative branch.
