Paint refers to any liquid, mastic or liquefiable constituent, which after application to a substrate in a thin layer, transforms into a solid film. It is most generally used to color, protect, or give texture to objects.
Generally, there are four prime constituents in paint. These are binder, pigment, liquid, and additives. Applications procedures rely on the specific paint but can involve spray application, electrostatic spraying, and brush methods. The pigment of the paint plays a huge part in defining appearance and color.
