Social Dichotomies is an emerging academic term to describe different social classes/groups in a society.

According to the webster dictionary, dichotomies are described as
''a division or contrast between two things that are or are represented as being opposed or entirely different.''

In the United States we have four distinct Social Dichotomies:
1. The High-Income Upper Class (Elite or 1%)
2. The High-Income
3. Middle-Class
4. Low-Income or working class

However, these are just broad terms and all of these terms and be further broken down to provide more insights into the social spectrum of a society.
