The two given points are
(x1,y1) = (-2,3) and (x2,y2) = (-3,1)
Which further breaks down into these four pieces of info:
x1=-2
y1=3
x2=-3
y2=1
Plug those four values into the slope formula
m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)
m = (1 - 3)/(-3 - (-2))
m = (1 - 3)/(-3 + 2)
m = (-2)/(-1)
m = 2
