Karen calculates the volume of cylinder A with a radius of 3 inches, and a height of 6in. The volume of this cylinder is 54Pi in^3. Cylinder B also has a radius of 3 inches but the height is doubled. What is the relationship between the volumes of the two cylinders?

Answer: B is the answer..

Explanation:

 V A = πr2h= π (3)2 (6) = 3.14 ( 9) (6)= 169.56 in3
V B = πr2h= π (3)2 (12) = 3.14 ( 9) (12)= 339.12 in3

Since the VB has the height is doubled...so you know right away , the Volume of cylinder B will be double of cylinder A..

If you were to stack two of cylinder A, one on top of the other, you would have the equivalent of cylinder B.
