Calculate the missing side of the triangle.
Use the Pythagorean theorem:

a^2+20^2=29^2\\\\a^2+400=841\ \ \ |-400\\\\a^2=441\\\\a=√(441)\\\\a=21

\tan x=(20)/(21)

First work out the length of the base using Pythagoras:-

b^ 2 = 29^2 - 20^2 = 441
b = 21

so tan x = opposite side / adjacent side = 20/21 (answer)

Its A
