Volume is length times width times height and you have your base area which takes care of the length times width, so just multiply the two numbers to get the volume. Reduce to get a volume of 5/9

Answer:

Option: A is the correct answer.

The volume that is occupied by the cabinet is:

A. 5/9 m ³

Explanation:

We know that the volume of a rectangular prism with base area i.e. B and height H is given by the formula:

V=B* H

In the given question

The base area of the rectangular prism is given by: 10/12 m²

i.e.

B=(10)/(12)\ m^2

and the height of the rectangular prism is given by: 2/3 m

i.e.

H=(2)/(3)\ m

Hence, the volume of the rectangular prism is:

Volume=(10)/(12)* (2)/(3)\ m^3\\\\i.e.\\\\Volume=(5)/(9)\ m^3
