What is the graph of y = x - 3 (shown below) translated up 2 units?

Unfortunately, you haven't shared the graph mentioned in this problem.

But anyway ...

y = x - 3 is a straight line with slope 1 and y-intercept (0,-3). If we translate the whole graph UP 2 units, we get y = 1x - 1.

Applying the following transformation we have:
Vertical translations
Suppose that k> 0
To graph y = f (x) + k, move the graph of k units up.
y = x - 3 + 2
Rewriting:
y = x - 1
Answer:
y = x - 1
