We’ve already been given a value of x so we can use that the find the value of y first.
Substitute x=4y+5 into the first equation
2(4y+5)-3y=5
8y+10-3y=5
Subtract both sides by 10
5y=-5
Divide both sides by 5
y=-1
Now that we have a value of y we can put that value into any equation and we will get the value of x
I will do it to both equations to prove it
2x-3(-1)=5
2x+3=5
Subtract both sides by 3
2x=2
Divide both sides by 2
x=1
x=4(-1)+5
x=1
So your final answer is x=1 and y=-1

the answer is -1,1 ------ y is -1 and x is 1 because when you substitute for x , which is 4y+5 in the equation 2x-3y=5, you get y as -1. They all you have to do is use y in the equation and figure out what x is as well while solving...:):)
