The height is 8 cubic meters. 32 divided by 4 is 8, and since a sail has two sides 4 times 2 equals 8.
Hope this helps!

The formula for the area of a triangle is Area = 1/2 x base x height

We can fill in the information we know and solve for what we want:

Area = 32 square meters
Let width = x
Height = 4 x width = 4x

So using the formula we now have:

32 = 1/2 *4x * x

1/2 x 4x = 2x

32 = 2x *x

2x *x = 2x^2

32 = 2x^2
Divide both sides by 2

16 = x^2

x = SQRT(16)
x = 4

The width = 4 meters

The height = 4 x 4 = 16 meters
