Greg and Anna drive uphill from lakeshore to valley view point, and back. Downhill to lakeshore. They notice that the drive uphill takes 10min less than twice the time to drive downhill. The difference between the time taken to drive uphill and the time to drive downhill is 65 min.

A. Create a pair of linear equations

B. Make them into 1 equations + work

C. How long does it take to drive up hill + work

If driving uphill takes 10 minutes less than twice to drive downhill, denoting the time to drive downhill with t, driving uphill is going to be 2t-10. By this way, we are going to answer to the first part of the question.

Next, we can write that 2t-10-t=65 and t=75 minutes

And driving uphill takes 2t-10 = 2*75-10 = 140 minutes
