Answer:

The volume of the ball is
9,198.11\ in^(3)

Explanation:

we know that

The volume of a sphere (yoga ball) is equal to

V=(4)/(3)\pi r^(3)

In this problem we have

r=26/2=13\ in -----> the radius is half the diameter

substitute

V=(4)/(3)(3.14)(13^(3))=9,198.11\ in^(3)

the formula for volume of a ball is:

V = 4/3 x PI x r^3
we are told PI = 3.14

the diameter is 26 inches so r ( radius )= 26 / 2 = 13 inches

now we have V = 4/3 x 3.14 x 13^3

V = 9198.11 cubic inches
