The existence of a model minority, such as asian americans, seems to reaffirm the notion that anyone can get ahead in the u.s. and implies that those minorities that don't succeed are somehow responsible for their failure. which sociological perspective would view this as another instance of "blaming the victim?"

a. functionalist perspective
b. conflict perspective
c. interactionist perspective

I believe the answer is: B. conflict perspective

Conflict perspectives in sociology would see that society would always be involved in constant battle to obtain limited resources, and the group that obtain the most resources would held the dominant position and could influence the major steps that taken by society.

The right answer is B. Conflict perspective. The theory of conflict is a sociological theory that indicates that in society resources are limited and different groups strive to achieve them, thus emerging competition. It is considered that the conflict is positive because it helps that all classes are intertwined and society is more fair, however there will always be in society more favored classes and disadvantaged classes and this is healthy to maintain the balance in society.
I hope this answer can help you.
