It's safe to assume that this kite is symmetrical about the y-axis. Reflecting (b,0) about the y-axis results in (-b,0) (answer)

Answer:

Coordinates of P is (-b,0)

Explanation:

Given the figure of kite

we have to find the coordinates of P.

As the main diagonal is the perpendicular bisector of the other diagonal i.e diagonal AC dives the line segment PB into two equal parts.

As the coordinates of B is given which is (b, 0)

Let the coordinates of P is (x,y)

PO=OB i.e O is the mid-point of PB

By mid-point formula

(0,0)=((b+x)/(2),(0+y)/(2))

b+x=0 and 0+y=0

x=-b and y=0

Hence, the coordinates of P are (-b, 0)
