A truck whose bed is 2.5 m long, 1.5 m wide and 1.0 m high is delivering sand for a sand-sculpture competition. About how many trips must the truck make to deliver 7 m3 of sand?

2 trips. The volume of the truck bed is 3.75 cubic meters, and they need 7 cubic meters. 3.75 times 2 is 7.5 cubic meters. It cannot have less than a full trip, and it cannot transport the whole load in one trip, so in order for the whole load to be delivered, it is necessary for the truck to make 2 trips.
