Hamlet interacts with Osric in act 5, scene 2. What function does this interaction have in the play? It resolves a problem. It provides comic relief. It heightens the tragedy. It is an example of dramatic irony.

Hamlet interacts with Osric in act 5, scene 2 in order to provide comic relief. Hamlet is a story written by William Shakespeare at an uncertain date between 1599 and 1602. With Queen Elizabeth's love for Shakespeare's play, Osiris's character was inserted to the drama in order to provide some satire for Her Majesty and other Englishmen.
