in order to find the missing side we have to use the Pythagorean Theorem which is a^2+b^2=c^2 we need to find the c^2

so a^2 is 12 so 12^2 and b^2 is 9 so 9^2

12^2+9^2=c^2

12^2= 144
9^2=81

144+81= 225

So i believe your answer is 225 or 50625 since 225^2= 50625

Hope this helped :)

Hello!

You can use the Pythagorean Theorem to solve this

a^(2) + b^(2) = c^(2)

c is the hypotenuse which is the side across the right angle
a and b are the other sides

Put in the values you know

9^(2) + 12^(2) = c^(2)

Square the numbers

81 + 144 = c^(2)

Add

225 = c^(2)

Take the square root of both sides

15 = c

The answer is 15

Hope this helps!
