I believe the answer is: post-formal thought
Post-formal thought refers to a situation when someone start to have a flexible attitude in accepting a complex moral or intellectual subject. Post-formal thought tend to can only be acquired as people hit maturity stage (around 25 - 45 years old) and the magnitude would drop as people hit old age.
