we know that
1) Aaron bought a large basket of 59 apples for $22.95
2) He also bought a small basket of 18 apples for $8.95.
so
total cost=
$22.95+$8.95.=$31.9
total apples=59+18=77 apples

[closest estimate of the cost per apple]=total cost/total apples
[closest estimate of the cost per apple]=31.9/77-----> $0.41 per apple

the answer is
$0.41 per apple
