Each triangle will need 9cm because it takes 3cm x 3cm to make one triangle.
65cm/9cm = 7.222
So he can make 7 whole medallions with some left over.

The total perimeter of a medallion is 9cm. Divide this into 65.
65 / 9 = 7 R2
You can make
7 medallions
from a 65cm piece of wire.
