Answer: The radius of cone = 9 cm

Explanation:

Formula : Volume of a cone =
\frac13 \pi r^2 h , where r= radius , h= height of the cone.

Given: Volume = 1,017.36 cubic centimeters

h = 12 centimeters

Substitute these values in formula , we get

1017.36=\frac13 *3.14* r^2(12)\ \ \ [\pi=-3.14]\\\\\Rightarrow\ r^2 =(1017.36*)/(3.14*12)\\\\\Rightarrow\ r^2 =(1017.36*3)/(3.14*12)\\\\\Rightarrow\ r^2 =81\\\\\Rightarrow\ r=9 \ \ \ \text{Taking square root on both sides}

Hence, the radius of cone = 9 cm
