The current temperature is -7°C. The high temperature yesterday was as many degrees above 0°C as the current temperature is below 0°C. Which expression could be used to find the number of degrees between the current temperature and yesterday‘s high temperature

Number \ of \ degrees=7-(-7)=14^(\textdegree)C

Explanation:

Current temperature is
7^(\textdegree)C below
0^(\textdegree)C.

So yesterday hight temperature will be
7^(\textdegree) above
0^(\textdegree).

Yesterday high temperature =
0+7=7^(\textdegree)C

Number of degrees between current and yesterday high temperature
=7-(-7)=14^(\textdegree)C
