HERE'S YOUR ANSWER:

Ratio of girls- 4

Ratio of boys- 1

Number of girls- 20

Number of boys- x

therefore 4/1 = 20/x

by cross multiplying u get:

4x = 20

x = 20/4

x = 5

Hence number of boys is 5

Answer:

5 boys

Explanation:

Since the ratio must always be 1 boy for every 4 girls

The ratio must stay 1:4

If we have 20 girls, the only way to hold the ratio would be to have 5 boys

that gives us a ratio of 5:20 which when divided by 5 gives us the original ratio 1:4.

Therefore, there must be 5 boys.
