Lets convert mixed number to improper fraction. It can be done by the rule shown below:


a(b)/(c)=((a*c)+b)/(c)

So, 4 and 1/3rd becomes:


4(1)/(3)=(13)/(3)

Lets find cost of 1 potato if 4 weigh
(13)/(3) pounds.


((13)/(3))/(5)=(13)/(3)*(1)/(5)=(13)/(15)

Now, 9 of them would weigh (9 times this):


(13)/(15)*9=(39)/(5)=7(4)/(5)
